Volunteer
Position Description Title: Floor/Floater |
Purpose
To assist with keeping the auditorium clean and will, when necessary,
be asked to work in other areas i.e. the kitchen.
Qualifications
·
Must
be at least 18 years of age.
·
Has
a clear understanding of agency policies, including boundaries and confidentiality.
·
Have
excellent interpersonal skills.
·
Must
be flexible and willing to perform a variety of tasks.
Responsibilities
·
Arrives
on the floor on the scheduled day and time.
·
Assists
with the set up/take down of the auditorium.
·
Assists
in other areas when asked.
·
Goes
to pick up pastries
·
Helps
with clean up.
Orientation/Training
·
Has
attended a 519 volunteer orientation.
·
Has
completed an interview with the Volunteer Coordinator.
·
Has
attended a Homeless & Anti-Poverty Programme volunteer training.
·
On-site
training of the floor area by the Team Captain or supervisor.
Hours
Volunteers commit to a weekly or biweekly 4-hour shift.
Commitment
6 months

Supervisor
Floor/floater volunteers report to the Team Captain. The Homeless
and Anti-Poverty Coordinator supervises volunteers. The Volunteer Coordinator
is an indirect supervisor. The Sunday Drop In staff provide direction and
support.
