We Need Your Help – An Urgent Appeal to our Communities

Donate Now

The 519 is appealing to friends, members, donors and people who care about the work we do, for help following a financial short-fall as a result of this year's rained-out Green Space Festival, the organization's biggest fundraising event of the year.

"Thanks to the amazing support of our communities over seven successive Green Space Festival, The 519 has been fortunate to have raised significant revenues," says Maura Lawless, Executive Director. "We were not so fortunate this year."

Proceeds from the Festival are undesignated which has allowed The 519 to develop and expand programs in response to community needs that we wouldn’t have been able to fund otherwise.

Between now and December 31, The 519 must raise an additional $125,000 to ensure that the programs and services that are so vital to our LGBTQ communities are protected.

Community members are invited to show their support for The 519 by:

  • Making or renewing a personal financial gift to The 519 (gifts of all sizes are appreciated and celebrated!)
  • Organizing a third-party fundraising event in support of The 519
  • Encouraging friends to give

Questions on how our communities can help can be directed to JFarrell@The519.org.
