Justice Ball is a collaborative project involves The 519 Access to Justice department, Health Justice team, the Black Collective and Toronto Kiki Ballroom Alliance. Its objective is to engage the ballroom scene in program planning, implementation, and delivery, while providing opportunities for queer, trans, nonbinary, youth + queer seniors, and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) communities within the Toronto ballroom scene while enhancing access to justice.

Participants will access cultural, social, health, and legal education opportunities, while gaining information and referrals to relevant programs and services. We aim to learn about issues affecting niche communities and utilize that information to enhance and develop programs, services and educational resources. Program planning will also be informed by data from The 519 legal clinic consultation notes, highlighting community gaps and trends.
