Triangle Squares is Toronto’s LGBTQ+ square dancing club since 1987. We are a place for LGBTQ+ individuals (and our straight allies) to learn modern western square dancing, with a unique gay styling, that makes it more fun and energetic than what you may remember from high school.
Program Types: Arts and Culture, Community-Led,
Plus and Advanced: Wednesdays, 7:00-9:00 pm at Jesse Ketchum Public School
Beginners and C1: Thursdays, 7:00-9:00 pm at 45 Carlton Street
Everyone is welcome to get a taste of square dancing when we host Intro Nights in August and September, right here at The 519. If you decide to join our club, beginner classes are held on Thursday nights, September through May, with breaks for the holidays. We run special club dances at Halloween, Christmas/Holidays, and St. Patrick’s Day. Square dancing is a great way to keep active, make new friends, and challenge your mind. No partners or fancy clothes are required.
