Green Space Festival Volunteer

With an exceptional lineup of world-class DJs, legendary performers, international and local drag royalty and more, the Green Space Festival is the can’t-miss event of Pride Month in Toronto. This 5-day, outdoor party for a cause is The 519’s biggest fundraising event of the year, helping to power our work all year round.

Volunteer Requirements:

To become a Green Space Festival volunteer, attendance at our mandatory training session is required. This ensures that all volunteers are equipped with the knowledge and skills needed to contribute effectively to the event. All volunteers must be 18 years of age or older.

Volunteer Roles:

Bar
  • Responsibilities include selling and serving beverages to guests at designated bar stations.
  • Smart Serve certification is required for this role. Not currently certified but interested in serving as a bar volunteer? Let us know!
Guest Services
  • Welcome guests to the venue with warmth and enthusiasm.
  • Provide assistance and information to attendees, answering inquiries and offering support.
  • Assist with managing lines and crowd flow.
Canvasser
  • Engage with guests throughout the event, fostering connections and soliciting donations for The 519.
Venue
  • Collect cans and compostable cups around the venue
Food Services
  • Aid in food preparation activities.
  • Assist in selling food items to event attendees.
Headquarters
  • Support the smooth operation of volunteer and staff check-in/out procedures at the headquarters.
  • Assist with setting up and dismantling the headquarters area.
